Specialty coffee with a conscience

We source our green beans from John Burton Ltd who import high quality green coffee beans, sourced from more than 25 countries around the world.

He believes ethics, integrity and honesty are paramount, and that maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers is fundamental to the development of a successful business. Like us his business is socially responsible, supporting the local communities where the beans are grown, and funding projects that help poor coffee farmers and their wider communities with much needed infrastructure.

John Burton Ltd offers a comprehensive range of high-quality green coffee beans from a variety of origins. These origins have been selected on the basis of quality, flavour and profile to meet the needs of the New Zealand coffee community.

The quality of bean dramatically affects the taste of your coffee. Where cheap low-quality commodity beans result in an ashtray/ rubber tyre tasting coffee, at generosity coffee we use high scoring specialty grade beans with a clean defined taste and no defects to produce a superior taste and consistently superior coffee.

Nespresso Compatible Capsules:

A capsule coffee filled with fresh roasted coffee has much more flavour than one that has travelled across the globe, it also gives a lovely crema and a delicious aroma.

Our capsule blend is roasted to a specific profile that performs well when used in a capsule. The day after roasting your fresh coffee is then encapsulated at a local facility into recyclable capsules.
R

The capsules are fully recyclable in New Zealand, just pop them in your curbside recycling binWe have chosen recyclable capsules at the moment as there is no commercial composting available in NZ.

Flexible responsible packaging

Generosity Coffee labels include a range of uplifting comments to help you start you day with a smile and remember the “good” you are doing

We ship our coffee in compostable courier bags and boxes and we are currently working with our bag supplier on compostable bags that still retain freshness and shelf life.

Our labelling system is flexible and easily can be co-branded or include personal statements for your clients.

We can also create custom display packaging for your capsules or coffee beans as well as bespoke tops on the capsules.

ADC Micro Finance: Loans that make a difference

Many people in poor communities are industrious, resourceful and masters of their own destiny. What they need is access to capital and a bit of support.

Our core purpose is to provide both.

We believe that by supporting entrepreneurs through microfinance, entire communities can work their way out of poverty through business development.

WHAT WE DO

ADC offers micro loans to skilled, enterprising communities in Myanmar and Malawi. These loans act as capital for them to start small businesses.

Most of us take access to credit for granted. Yet it is not accessible to everyone.Poorer people, especially in developing countries, are generally considered to be highly risky to lend to and therefore struggle to access credit from traditional banks.

They are forced to turn to loan sharks and pawn shops, which may charge interest rates in excess of 200 per cent per annum.

Credit is a catalyst for economic growth, which enables innovation and technological advance. A lack of credit means a lack of opportunity, which is prevalent in many countries where the economy is stuck in a low growth cycle with high inflation and unemployment.

ADC’s micro loans give skilled, enterprising communities another option.

ADC is a co-operative charity – members who contribute funds guide how they are allocated and used. ADC prides itself on its transparency and accountability to its members.

By drinking Generosity Coffee you can support new entrepreneurs and their villages in Myanmar and Malawi.

World Journeys: changing the world

World Journeys NZ is a conscious travel agency. Not only to they drink Generosity Coffee in their Auckland office but they donate on a regular basis to great causes like Rhino’s without borders, StreetSmart South Africa which helps street children and the Olive Ridley Project sea turtle rescue centres.

They are currently raising funds for “Mr Ben” Scholarships to help educate children in Zambia. Sadly Benjamin Parker passed away a few weeks ago but he and his lodge Tongabezi have done incredible things for the local communities.

The Tongabezi Trust School, Tujatane, is a part of the Tongabezi spirit and was therefore a vital part of Ben’s life and his impact on the world. Tujatane has set up a Just Giving Page with the goal of enabling Ben to change more lives even though he is no longer physically with us. All donations raised will go towards a “Mr Ben” scholarship, and each year (or as often as we can) one ex-Tujatane pupil who has completed secondary school will be funded through college, university, or an apprenticeship.

Anyone who donates, please do send your email address to emma@tujatane.com so that she can ensure you can follow and be a part of each child’s life as it is changed for the better.
